Day 120 Delicate

I got to shoot lots of pictures today of a variety of subjects. I was reminded by a friend how lucky we are to live in a place with such a diversity of natural beauty. This picture exhibits my "assignment" of the day, which was to shoot with a shallow depth of field. It also reminds me, given both the happy occasions I've celebrated and terrible circumstances I've witnessed in the span of just a week, how delicate life is.

Day 119 Lucky

I took a minute to go to the beach this afternoon. The sun was shining, birds were nesting and people were playing. I felt very lucky.
