Day 163: Old Friends

Thirty years? No. Surely not! Only 29. I haven't seen these knuckleheads in 29 years! Marc (that crazy Cajun from Louisiana) and Donna (that crazy Italian from Delaware) came to visit and what fun we had! We might eat a little more and drink a little less than we did back in our collage days but I think we enjoyed -- and appreciated --  our time together even more.

Day 162: Snack

I was so busy procrastinating about doing other things that I almost forgot to take a picture tonight. Luckily I had this handy little snack to shoot.

Day 161: Mr. Connor

The Mr. Connor and I happened to be cruising down the canal at the same time this afternoon. He was actually on the water. I was just driving. It was one of those days when I felt like I was driving around in circles. That must have been the case because I ended up right back where I started. I wonder where he ended up.

Day 159: Toothless

Eli wasn't letting a few missing teeth keep him from enjoying some corn on the cob at today's crawfish boil.

Day 158: Striking a Pose

Teddy was definitely the most willing model at the Boone home tonight. Cute, huh?

Day 157: Hav-A-Tampa

I caught a glimpse of several nuggets from the past today. This one is Papa Boykin's cigar box.

Day 153: Shapes

Looking up in the lobby, Hyatt Regency Atlanta. It's a pretty amazing place. Thanks Debbie, for the "heads up" idea.

Day 152: Abigale

Abigale was all smiles this afternoon, getting ready to go on a bike ride with her dad.

Day 149: Bright Spot

There are lots of bright spots at the Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach.

Day 148: Chandra

It was portrait time for Chandra this afternoon. She wasn't exactly a willing subject but doesn't she look pretty?

Day 147: Lunch

Today I didn't put much effort into my photography skills or my culinary skills. It tasted better than it looks.

Day 145: Harmony

Can you hear the harmony? Savanna and Anthony of Sugarcane Jane sounded great performing at the Orange Beach Festival of Art and seemed to have fun doing it. Beautiful music in a beautiful setting, that's harmony!

Day 144: Musicians

I got to spend the day with some very talented and gracious musicians today at the Orange Beach Festival of Art. This is the amazing Corky Hughes. Many thanks to him and all the others who filled the festival with beautiful music.

Day 142: Simplicity

Sometimes the simplest of scenes just reach out and grab me. I really wanted to insert myself into this one for the afternoon.

Day 141: Exhale

Just a five minute stop on the way home can do amazing things for tension relief.

Day 140: Tools

What an odd coincidence. Last night I had all my tools out, then when I started to post my picture my computer just stopped working. It would not come back on. I'm so thankful it has come back to work today and has taken its place among the writing tools I need today.

Day 137: Watching

This is my new friend Keetz (I'm not sure about that spelling.) We were both fascinated watching Adam and Carrie creating a beautiful glass piece at The Hot Shop this afternoon. I'll share some pictures of that process  later on The Hot Shop's Facebook page, but I just couldn't resist sharing this one here. Very intense.
