Today starts a new year for me. My 50th. I'm so grateful for the family and friends who have gotten me this far and the amazing blessings I've been given. Every year at this time I find myself saying, "There is so much more to see and do out there!" I've decided to try this photo-a-day thing again because photography truly helps me engage with and appreciate more the people and the environment around me. I don't want to let this year pass me by!
I started the day at the beach this morning and while the picture I've chosen feels like a bit of a cliche, it's a scene that just never gets old for me and always makes me hopeful. I think that's an appropriate way to start.
